The Shear-Hog™ 2" Carbide Insert with a 0.040" corner radius is engineered for maximum stability and edge durability when machining aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Featuring a high-polish cutting face and C2 cemented carbide construction, this insert reduces built-up edge, enhances chip flow, and delivers consistent surface finishes in CNC milling operations.
Precision-manufactured in the USA, this insert is ideal for higher feed rates and heavier cuts where tool strength and reliability are critical. The larger corner radius increases edge strength, making it well suited for production machining and extended run times.
Designed as a direct-fit insert for TTS Mini-Shear and other Mini Shear cutting heads, the Shear-Hog insert integrates seamlessly with Tormach CNC mills using TTS or BT30 tooling systems.
