The Shear-Hog™ 2" Carbide Insert with a 0.010" corner radius is engineered for smooth, reliable machining of aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Its high-polish cutting face and C2 cemented carbide construction promote excellent chip flow, reduced edge buildup, and consistent surface finishes in high-speed CNC operations.
Precision-manufactured in the USA, this insert is ideal for shops and prototyping environments that demand predictable performance and long tool life. The slightly larger corner radius improves edge strength while maintaining clean finishes, making it well suited for light to moderate material removal.
Designed as a drop-in fit for TTS Mini-Shear and other Mini Shear cutting heads, the Shear-Hog insert integrates seamlessly with Tormach CNC mills using TTS or BT30 tooling systems.
